Statement of Faith

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, supernaturally inspired and divinely dictated. It is the governing authority of the church and the life of the believer.  It is to be read, studied, obeyed and exhibited in the life of the believer.

We believe that the Holy Trinity exists in three persons:  God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit-and that these three are one and are God.

We believe in God as the absolute and sole creator of the universe, and that creation was by divine command, not through evolutionary process and that God, by his sovereign choice and out of love for humankind, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that he was born of a virgin and that he lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works, miracles, and signs exactly as revealed in the Bible; that he was crucified, died for our sins and was raised from the dead on the third day.  He ascended to the Father's right hand where he reigns as King, Priest, and Interceder for all believers. God left the Holy Spirit to dwell among us and in every believer and guide them into the path of God's righteousness.  Christ will again return to receive his own.

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God; it is not deserved nor can it be earned through our works. We believe that we are saved by God's grace, which we access by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.  Because we personally accept Jesus Christ as Messiah and Saviour of our lives, we will show obedience through repentance, confess our faith in Christ, from our heart and our mouth and live a Christian life according to the Word of God being led by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the church is the bride of Christ and God's active institution for growth, communion and fellowship for ALL people.

We believe that all that we possess belongs to God and that the tithe and offerings are holy unto God and are to be given obediently, faithfully and cheerfully unto God.

We believe that God desires a healthy and thriving relationship with every human being over and above any religious experience. God also desires that all believers prosper in every aspect of life and that this all comes as a result of seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness.
