The Works and Blessings of God keep Going and Growing!

Scripture: Psalm 104:24

Psalm 104:24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

One of the key words in this passage is manifold. Manifold in this passage comes from the Hebrew word Rabab pronounced raw-bab’ it means to be or become many, be or become much, be or become great. The Psalmist in this passage acknowledges how great and how many the works and blessings of God are in the earth. It is an interesting thing to sit back and think about the works, blessings and wisdom of God that are at work in the earth, especially in our own lives each and every day.

I believe (and God has proven me right) that every work, blessing and wisdom of God is manifold or as I like to call it multiple-fold. If we observe these areas we will see that everything builds off of one onto or into another. God has never performed a work or given a blessing or bestowed wisdom upon anyone or anything that hasn’t been beneficial for more than just that one purpose. Every time God does something it is designed to benefit a multitude not just an individual or an isolated situation. For instance, every work of God in my life benefits those around me and those who come in contact with me today and forever. There are lessons that I learned from God years ago that I share with others and it blesses them as much as, if not more so, than it blessed me.

The work that God is doing in your life is designed not only to make you better but to help others as well. God’s wisdom is so deep that it would take a human an eternity to grasp it all, but He shares with us what we can handle and that little bit not only lasts us our lifetime but we pass it on to future generations. All of us have lived by little nuggets of wisdom that have been passed down from generation to generation, but if it was worthwhile it can be found in the Word of God which means that it came from God originally. The Psalmist knows that everything that comes from God is already great and will become even more than we can imagine over time.

This week focus on three things:

  1. You are a manifold work of God- As a work of God, a creation made out of God’s imagination; you were created with manifold works in mind.  God only made one you and placed in you the ability to be great and to multiply that greatness in the earth through his means and opportunities. God continues to refine you to do more and more for Him because that is part of the multiple-fold work that you are to Him.  Understand that you have not even begun to scratch the surface to the greatness that you already are and will become through Him.  You were created to benefit many people, make a contribution to the earth and above all else fulfill your role in the Kingdom plan of God.  If you are alive to read this that means that your work is not complete yet.
  2. God’s wisdom is needed in your life-God’s wisdom is priceless.  Everything that you see in creation is from God’s wisdom.  This is also where many humans get confused and don’t understand what God is doing, how God is doing it or why God is doing what He does but that is because we have not sought out His wisdom.  God does things from an eternal perspective not a right now perspective.  God on His worst day is wiser than any human on their best day.  The wisdom that God desires to place in you will place your life on a different (better) course.  The wisdom of God is more valuable than any material possession, but it is free to whoever will ask for it (James 1:5).  When you seek and receive the wisdom of God your perspective and your life will change; you will also experience the manifold blessings of God.
  3. The earth is full of the riches of God- Many people ruin their lives seeking after the riches of men and women when they should be seeking after the riches of God.  The riches of God never run out and they come with peace.  They can never be taken from you and they are multiple-fold.  Behind every gift from God there are many more waiting to be unwrapped.  God’s wealth is eternal and His riches are everlasting.  You can see His riches everywhere and you are experiencing one of them right now, it is called life.  Here are a few others:  Salvation, health, forgiveness, mercy, grace, the ability to think, spiritual freedom, the ability to inhale and exhale, etc. I could go on for years with this list.  Just look throughout the earth and partake of God’s riches the earth is full of them.  By the way, in God’s eyes you are one of the riches He placed in the earth.

Pray for a wonderful and safe school year this year for all of our school children, their teachers and administrators.
