Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. (NIV)
Many people are not willing to make guarantees these days about anything or anyone, but I will always make guarantees about Almighty God everyday of my life. This is a passage of scripture that guarantees healing in all areas of life. There is however a condition attached to it and that is faith or belief in God. I know that many people do not believe in healing or have conditions set for what healing is or how it is defined. This verse says that by His wounds we ARE healed. Notice that it does not say might be, could be, can be or should be, it says that we ARE healed. It is God’s will that through the Savior, the Messiah, the Son of God that ARE healed. God is a God of completion so this is not only referring to a physical healing but also spiritual, emotional, mental, relational and financial.
God desires that every area of our lives be healthy and strong because of what Christ did for us on the cross. This verse tells us some of the things that He took on for us so that we could experience healing. His wounds (which were many) were so that we would receive the complete health and healing of God. Christ put himself in the line of fire that was meant for us because He wanted us to have a complete healing. Our part in all of this is easy, even though we make it hard, we must accept fully and completely what God did through Jesus Christ for the whole world. Those that do not accept it won’t receive it and those that do will. Remember that accept it we must do so fully and completely and to reject any part is to reject all of it. The definition of healed in this scripture is only defined by God not our definition. God has on many occasions in the Bible shown all types of healing but the wounds of Christ provide comprehensive healing. Salvation serves as an eternal healing for every area of life and that is what fully accepting what God did through Jesus Christ does for every believer. Our life begins the process of eternal guaranteed healing. Our healing is not confined to or by the standards of the earth or human beings. I know that many people want to be healed today and right now, but we have an eternity to experience His healing and it is guaranteed that by His wounds we ARE healed.
No longer should we fret about any infirmities in our life we must accept at even greater levels what God has already done through Christ and know that we are healed. No longer should we say that if it is God’s will that we will be healed, we have to say that because it is His will that we are healed. It is because of the wounds of Christ that we ARE healed and there is no possibility that this is not true, it is truth and we should live our lives in that truth. God guaranteed healing to all that will receive His son.
Pray for healing for the entire world and those that God has put in your path. We all should pray that everyone would receive the gift of God, Jesus Christ, for He is the One that all healing flows to and through.
