A Year of Transformation--God’s doing a New Thing

Transformation Requires:

  1. Christ not Conformity-I must receive Christ as Lord and no longer conform to the world’s ways
  2. Challenging Myself-I must challenge myself to be better and be the person that God created me to be
  3. Changing My Ways-stop doing things that God would not approve of or be pleased with
  4. Conviction but not Condemnation-allow the Holy Spirit to convict me of sin but do not wallow in condemnation
  5. Commitment to Consistency-stay on course in your walk with God; it's a race of endurance

The New thing that God will do requires:

  1. Perception (I must Pay Attention)
  2. Path Placement (I must follow the path God chooses for me)
  3. Provision (I must receive whatever God provides for me)
  4. Praise (I must praise Him but others will too)

Many people take this time of year to make New Year's resolutions about getting in shape and becoming physically fit. However, most people never think of their spiritual fitness but we are often consumed with our physical fitness. Even our concern for physical fitness is not 100% about fitness is often about our outward appearance. The spiritual aspect to fitness though is not concerned with just the outward appearance, but is concerned with who we are at all times inside and out. Our spiritual fitness is of utmost importance, as it is something that can and should be exhibited at all times.
